Khowai, Tripura, 31st of October, 2026 : A sensation has emerged in the Gournagar area of Khowai following the recovery of the hanging body of a 35-year-old married woman, identified as Moni Jhara, from a tree beside her house. The deceased’s husband has been identified as Hariman Jhara.
According to family members, she was found hanging from a tree near her house Thursday (29th October, 2026) night. Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Khowai District Hospital.
Although reports from local sources have mentioned excessive alcohol consumption, the exact cause of death remains unclear.
The body is scheduled to be handed over to the family today following a post-mortem examination. The deceased is survived by two children.
