Khowai, Tripura, 2nd of November, 2026 : Ahead of the upcoming Khowai Municipal Council elections, the Khowai Sub-Divisional Police organised a route march across different parts of the town on Sunday (1st November, 2026) evening at around 6 PM. The initiative was taken to strengthen security arrangements and maintain law and order ahead of the polls.
Police personnel from various police stations under Khowai subdivision, along with jawans of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR), participated in the march. The route march was led by SDPO Debaprasad Roy. Khowai Police Station OC Prajit Malakar and Subhash Park Police Outpost OC Ranjit Sarkar were also present.
The police administration stated that the exercise was aimed at ensuring a peaceful and smooth electoral process. The route march also served as a visible demonstration of the preparedness of the police and security forces ahead of the municipal elections.
