Agartala, Tripura, 7th of November, 2026 : Ahead of the upcoming Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated candidates submitted their nomination papers for various wards on Friday (6th November, 2026).
The candidates submitted their nomination papers at the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sadar, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and organisational representatives.
A large number of BJP supporters, party workers and senior leaders gathered during the nomination submission, making it a major show of party strength.
Amid heightened security measures, the candidates marched in a rally with party supporters before reaching the designated office to file their nomination papers.
Interacted with the media party leaders highlighted the BJP’s election preparedness and organisational strength, appealing to voters to support the party’s nominated candidates in the upcoming municipal polls. They expressed hope that the party would emerge victorious in the municipal elections.
With the nomination process underway, political activities across Agartala are gradually gaining momentum ahead of the municipal elections. Various political parties are stepping up their preparations, while candidates have started reaching out to voters to seek their support.
Amidst the distinguished leaders there were Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Hon’ble MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP state president and MLA Abhishek Debroy along with other party leaders and activists were participated in the rally.
