Buddha Purnima during Vaishakhai month is celebrated as 2567th birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha. Buddha Jayanti is being celebrated across the country commemorating his contributions to the establishment of world peace.
Buddhist Devotees offered prayers on the occasion of “2567th Buddha Jayanti”. The Vaishakhai Buddha Purnima festival was celebration at Venuvan Buddha Vihara, Kunjaban, Agartala on Friday (5th May, 2023). A large number of devotees participated in the Buddha Jayanti. Buddhists are celebrating the 2567th Buddha Jayanti through various programmes today.
