Assam Rifles under Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organized ‘Plantation Drive’ on 28 August 2023 at Srikona Garrison, Cachar District.
The aim of the plantation drive was to create a positive impact on the environment, promote sustainable practices and involve troops in nurturing and protecting the nature for present and future generations. During the event different saplings of fruit bearing and non fruit bearing trees were planted and awareness was spread amongst all ranks to protect the environment and contribute in restoring the ecosystem. A total of 200 saplings were planted with full zeal and enthusiasm.
