Khowai, 12th of February 2024 : With the initiative of Tipra Indigenous Students’ Federation (TISF) the students wing of the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Motha Party have staged road blockade in many parts of Tripura on Monday (12th February, 2024). Along with the entire state, the national highways belonging to the Khowai division were blocked by the activist supporters. Activist supporters blockade at Belfang, Bachaibari, Champahaor, Asharambari-Tulashikhar and Srirampur No. 5 Bridge in Kamalpur. TISF have staged road blockade in demand of Roman Script in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) board examinations.

Interacting with the media MLA Ranjit Debbarma, MDC Ananta Debbarma said that the agitation will continue until the demands are not fulfilled. Protesters Highways and railway lines were blocked in many parts of Tripura. Normal life and movement of vehicles including trains were hit by the road blockade.
