Khowai, 19th of July, 2024 : The people of Khowai have been suffering for a long time due to Khowai electricity employees. For the last three months there is a problem of electricity voltage in East Ganaki area under Khowai District. Due to this, various electrical appliances including refrigerators, TVs are damaged in various houses. Despite repeatedly informing the power department, nothing is being done.
The problem is not being solved. Therefore, on Friday morning, the people of East Ganki area blocked the road in the Vidya Sagar Primary School premises, Jambura area. As a result of the road blockade, many vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road. The blockaders demanded that the blockade will continue till the concerned electricity problem is not resolved and solves the problems of the blockaders. Sushant Debnath, the former Pradhan of Jambura Gram Panchayat rushed to the spot after getting the information. Later SDO Nihar Debbarma of Power Department arrived on the spot. Afterwards this assurance that the work will start from 10 am, the blockers has been withdrawn.
