Agartala, 28th of July, 2024 : Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana on Saturday (27th July, 2024).
Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu appointed the new Governor for Telangana. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma is the first person from Tripura to be appointed as the Governor of any State in the country.
Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu has appointed Governors in various States. The President of India has appointed new Governors in nine states.
Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, who was holding additional charge of Telangana, has been appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra.
“I sincerely thank Her Excellency President of India and The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for giving me an opportunity to serve the people as the Governor of Telangana.
It is also a recognition for the people of my state -Tripura as this is the first time ,since Independence that a person from this state has been elevated to this post. I therefore thank both , once again on behalf of Tripura.”, Hon’ble Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma tweeted.
