Agartala, Tripura, 1st of August, 2024 : Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) commenced the academic journey of its new batch of Undergraduate students in the Techno India Knowledge Campus today by organising an orientation programme. The procession to the campus was led by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, along with teachers and senior students. Ms. Arshiya Das, a young chess prodigy and the first Woman Candidate Master (WCM) from North-East India, was invited for the inaugural day ceremonies during the orientation. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Saha, Ms. Das, and the new students were welcomed with rose flowers and greeting cards by the Techno family.

As part of the orientation for the new batch of learners, a reception ceremony was organized to honor Ms. Das, where she was felicitated with a bouquet, a memento, and a portrait. Her parents were also honored. Ms. Das presented a chessboard to the Vice-Chancellor to promote chess. Dr. Dibakar Deb, Principal of Techno India Engineering College also felicitated Ms. Das. The Vice-Chancellor assured that Techno India Group would support her future endeavors and higher education pursuits at the university. The event, held at the Maheshkhola campus, included a welcome session for new students and an interaction with their parents, attended by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, the respected Principal, and other faculty members.
