Khowai, Tripura, 9th of September, 2024 : Anganwadi Workers and helpers blocked the road of Padmabil ICDS Belfang area under Khowai District. They blocked the road at Belfang area of Khowai-Agartala via Hezamara road from eight o’clock on Monday (9th September, 2024) morning. They blocked the road with various demands including increase in salary, regularization of workers. As a result of the road blockade, many vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road. Officials interacted with the blockaders and agreed to their demands. They promised that the matter will be taken up by the higher authorities. But the blockaders want a written promise instead of a verbal one. Their other demands are recognition of regularization of Anganwadi workers and helpers as per the Supreme Court judgment, graduation, introduction of pension allowance to retired employees.
