Agartala, Tripura, 16th of September, 2024 : The book namely “Soils of Tripura” written by Indrajit Chakraborty is released by Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu through a ceremony with the presence of renowned dignitaries at Agartala Press Club on Monday (16th September, 2024). The Agriculture Book titled “Tripurar Mati er Urbarata, Pariksha, Fosol, Chasbas o Gabesana” in Bengali translated from English book the “Soils of Tripura”.
Addressing the unveiling ceremony Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that Tripura has made great strides in organic farming. Tripura’s impressive success in creating an Eco-friendly farming environment is highly commendable. Realizing the importance of agriculture in social life and Indian economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special importance to improving the condition of farmers. Various schemes have been undertaken to eliminate all the problems faced by the farmers in farming. Governor urged the farmers of the State to come forward to increase production in various fields by using modern technology. The Governor expressed hope that the farmers would be able to better understand what crops can be produced more in the soil of different parts of Tripura by reading this book.
Dr.B. U. Choudhury, Chief of ICAR Tripura Complex also spoke at the event. Agartala Press Club President Jayanta Bhattacharjee and many other dignitaries were present in the unveiling ceremony.
