Kojagari Lakshmi Puja follows on from the celebrations of Vijayadashami and the immersion of the ten-armed Goddess Durga Lakshmi is said to be the daughter of the mother Goddess Durga and the wife of Vishnu. Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is celebrated in honour of Maa MahaLakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. People usually celebrate this day with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
