Agartala, Tripura, 14th of November, 2024 : On November 13, 2024, Shri Patel Piyush Purushottam Das, IPS, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters BSF Tripura, inaugurated Prahari Skill Development Center at Border Out Post Bogabil in Khowai district in the presence of Shri Neeraj Singh Jamwal, Commandant BSF and a gathering of local villagers.

During the function, the IG BSF Tripura Frontier also chaired a village coordination meeting and interacted with the villagers and youths and apprised them regarding facilities provided by Prahari Skill Development Centre, which include coaching to students /youths for competitive exams, computer literacy and physical training for various competitive exams like SSC(GD)/CAPF/state police exams, sewing and embroidery training to local women to empower them to earn a sustainable livelihood.

IG BSF Tripura Frontier also inaugurated Shaheed Samsher Vatika at Border Out Post R. K. Para in memory of Shaheed Shamsher Singh, Assistant Commandant, PPMG, BSF. Tree plantation was also carried out at BOP.
BSF is organising skill development training to make the border population self-reliant and successful in getting employment.
