BSF Seized Big Haul Of Ganja & Contraband Articles Worth Rs. 32.05 Lakhs.

BSF Tripura, besides safeguarding the extreme territorial limits of the Nation has also been regularly conducting special drives to counter Inter-State and trans-border Narcotics smuggling particularly narcotics, resultantly succeeding in neutralizing the nefarious designs of Narcotics syndicates. In the series of such operations in the intervening night of 10/11 Nov 2021, BSF troops foiled various smuggling bids & successfully seized 188.4 Kgs Ganja, 114 Btls of Phensedyl / Eskuf Syrup besides other contraband items and also rescued 10 Cattle heads having combined value of Rs. 32,05.291/-.

In one such operation on 10th November 2021, acting on specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Out Post Kalamchoura, Ex-150 Bn BSF Gokulnagar in joint operation with officials of Customs (DPF) Agartala carried out special search in the general area of Bagvera Forest under PS- Kalamchera, Distt- Sepahijala and successfully seized 04 plastic drums containing “142 Kgs Ganja worth Rs. 21,30,000/-” which were clandestinely stocked beneath the soil. The seized Ganja was handed over to Customs Agartala on the spot for further course of action.

BSF is fully committed to eradicate the menace of drugs in the State of Tripura and also seizing various contraband items during different operations on Indo-Bangladesh International Border.
