Agartala, Tripura, 6th of April 2025 : The new managing committee of Agartala Press Club was elected on Sunday (6th April, 2025). Total 230 members casted their votes out of 241 voters today. Senior journalist Pranab Sarkar secured victory as new President, Senior journalist Chitra Roy Vice President and Senior photojournalist Ramakanta Dey was re-elected as the Secretary.
Journalist Abhishek Dey and Journalist Kamal Chowdhury have been re-elected as Assistant Secretaries. Ranjan Roy retained the Treasurer post. The elected executive members are- Journalist Mihir Lal Sarkar, Journalist Abhishek Debbarma, Journalist Ranjit Debbarma, Journalist Santosh Gope and Journalist Biswajit Dey. Advocate Sandip Datta Chowdhury, Returning Officer to the Agartala Press Club Election, announced the results after the counting on Sunday evening.
