Ampi Sub Zonal Launced Mega Yarn Distribution.

Amarpur, Tripura, 7th of July 2025 : With the generous initiative of Ampi sub zonal authority (TTAADC) a mega yarn distribution programme has been launced here in Chechua community hall under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura today. On this philanthropic occasion a large number indigenous women and TMP dignitaries have assembled here in the programme venue. In presence of many programme dignitaries the ADC CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia has inaugurated the event. As per the report, 1200 indigenous families from 6 VCs have availed colourful yarn through this distribution programme. Sources said, per beneficiary availed 1 kg yarn to make indigenous garments for their family utility.

Addressing the women gathering Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has said, “As per the instruction of our beloved Bubagra we have launched this generous initiative to inspire our indigenous women as they are associated with weaving since the ancient monarchy system. Our indigenous garments and costumes are our precious heritage & identity and we are always in promptness to promote our tradition & unique culture.”

After getting free yarn women were found very happy and cheerful. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were 23 Ampi constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai, Ampi nagar block TMP president Sanjay Jamatia, TWF president Kalija Kalai, Ampi sub zonal chairman Gakul Nanda Jamatia, social activist Deb Sadhan Jamatia and many other remained present in the programme.
