GRP & RPF Of Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested 1 Drug Peddlers.

Agartala, Tripura, 15th of July 2025 : On specific input of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) based on secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Tuesday (15th July, 2025) night.

According to the GRP police, along with the RPF, arrested one man drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 7.265 Kg dry cannabis worth ₹ 1 lakh 80 thousand. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station. During initial interrogation, he said that he would take these to Karimganj and from there to Kanpur. A case under the NDPS section has been registered against them at Agartala GRP police station. It is estimated that many more people may be arrested in this case. They will be sent to the High Court tomorrow. According to GRP the names of the arrested person one drug peddler Rahul Kumar (18) Medipura, Bihar. Officer In-Charge of Agartala GRP Tapas Das gave details about this today.
