Khowai, Tripura, 24th of July 2025 : With the initiative of Khowai District Level School Sports Board organized Subroto Cup Football Competition in collaboration with Education (youth Affairs & Sports) Department Khowai District at Khowai Government High Secondary (Boys) School Synthetic Turf Football Playground, Khowai, Tripura on Thursday (24th July, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Zilla Parishad member Anukul Das inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp.
The Khowai district level Subroto Cup Football Competition started on Thursday. The competition started at 11 am. According to report 30 teams from Khowai district participated in the competition. In addition, 23 teams from Khowai sub-district participated in the competition. This is the first time that 23 teams from Khowai sub-district are participating in the Subroto Cup Football Competition, which is a historical event. Before this, such a large team has never been formed from any Khowai district in the Subroto Cup Football Competition.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants President of Khowai Football Association Samir Kumar Das, Social activist Ranjan Das, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony Subroto Cup Football Competition. On this day, the Teliamura Sub-division vs Khowai Sub-division Under-15 Girls’ Team participated in the inaugural tournament.
