Hyderabad, Telangana, 29th of July 2025 : CMA Vijay Kiran Agastya has been elected as the Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for the term 2025–26. A former Vice President at Deloitte, Vijay Kiran transitioned into entrepreneurship four years ago and is currently the Co-Founder and Managing Director of MentorMe, an emerging EdTech venture focused on career guidance and upskilling.

Joining him in the leadership team are:

CMA Munisekhar Darapaneni, a Practicing Cost Accountant from Hyderabad, elected as Vice-Chairman

CMA Rajesh Sai Iyer, a Chennai-based Practitioner, elected as Secretary

CMA K.V.N. Lavanya, a Practicing Cost Accountant from Hyderabad, and that for the first time a telugu lady entered the SIRC as Treasurer.
Notably, three of the four office bearers hail from Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in the history of the Southern India Regional Council.
The newly elected team brings together a wealth of experience from industry and practice, with a shared commitment to advancing the profession and empowering members and students across the southern region.
