Sabroom, Tripura, 2nd of August, 2025 : Another person has died in a train accident. The tragic accident took place at around 12:30 am on Saturday (2nd August, 2025) in Kalachhara railway station area, South Tripura. The deceased has been identified as Laxman Chandra Das (52), father of Dhirendra Chandra Das, a resident of Kalibazar SC Colony.
According to eyewitnesses, Laxman Das was crushed under the train as the passenger train, which left Agartala for Sabroom at 10:50 am, reached the Kalacherra Thailiktuisa station and died on the spot. On receiving information, local residents and railway police reached the spot and recovered the body.As soon as the incident spread, a shadow of grief descended on the area.
