Khowai, Tripura, 7th of August, 2025 : In a focused effort to speed up field-level implementation under the World Bank-supported Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP), the Horticulture Department Joint Director Manoj Debbarma convened a strategic review meeting at Khowai, Tripura on 6th August 2025.
The session was chaired by the Joint Director Horticulture Department. District level officials Deputy Director of Agriculture, Superintendent of Agriculture, Agriculture Sector Officer have attended the meeting and shared valuable thoughts in respect to involvement of the Agri -Horti Depatmental staff .ATM, BTM, PM (Agri. & Horti.), and TRESP officials from the district Were participated in the meeting. The meeting aimed to ensure the effective rollout of Farmer Field School (FFS) activities across Mungiakami, Padmabil, and Tulashikhar blocks.
Discussions emphasized the critical role of convergence between the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments and the TRESP- team in enhancing coordination, optimizing resource use, and providing holistic capacity-building support to Producer Groups as well as completion of group formation target with quality scanning during formation process .
The meeting resulted in drawing a collaborative strategy that focuses on increasing agricultural productivity, promoting sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices, and strengthening the institutional framework of Producer Groups.
Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring last-mile delivery of services and empowering farmer collectives towards sustainablity .
