Agartala, Tripura, 8th of August 2025 : As part of its Institution Building and Capacity Building (IBCB) initiative, the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) has rolled out a strategic plan for community-level trainings aimed at enhancing the skills and efficiency of its workforce. The Books of Records (BOR) training marks the beginning of this continuous training series, which will be conducted under the leadership of Sonali Laskar, IBCB Specialist, TRESP with support of Training Specialist.

On 7th August, the District Project Management Unit (DPMU), TRESP, Gomati—also covering South Tripura district—organised a two-day BOR training for Producer Groups at the Panchayati Raj Training Institute (PRTI), Udaipur. A total of 23 TRESP officials from five blocks—Killa, Karbook, Silachari, Ompi, and Rupaichari—participated. The programme, funded by the TRESP State Unit, was held under the leadership of the ADM & Collector, Gomati District.

The training was inaugurated by the Project Management Unit, TRESP, alongside SDS, with sessions delivered by Subrata Datta and Susmita Roy, SDS. Participants included cluster coordinators, accounts officers, district managers, data entry operators, and block programme managers.

The curriculum was designed by SDS and the TRESP Core Team, with close monitoring by Sonali Laskar to ensure quality outcomes. District Programme Manager Sri Kinkar Bhowmik played a pivotal role in organising the event and coordinating with block teams, demonstrating the strong leadership of Gomati DPMU in implementing TRESP’s IBCB vision.

With BOR training as the first step, TRESP is set to implement a series of targeted training programmes to strengthen field-level implementation and provide sustained support to community institutions across districts.
