Agartala, Tripura, 10th of August 2025 : With the initiative of Shibnagar Modern Club and Amra Tarun Dal organized Blood Donation Camp to marks on 73rd anniversary of Shibnagar Modern Club at club premises, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (10th August, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the blood donation camp by lighting the lamp.
Addressing at the blood donation camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Clubs play an important role in raising awareness in various areas of development, peace and harmony in the area. A noble act like blood donation will no longer be possible. He said that the Government is trying to keep adequate blood stocked in blood banks in the State. Taking blood donation as a social service, a healthy competition environment should be created among every club and organization to organize blood donation camps. Along with the Government efforts, if people from all sections of the society come forward for this initiative, there will be no shortage of blood for medical purposes.
“The currently the Government is making all kinds of efforts to eradicate drug use and drug dealers. If clubs or various social organizations take initiative in this work along with the Government, the anti-drug work will be complete. The Government will always stand by and cooperate with the good work of the clubs. A relationship between drug abuse and the spread of HIV. In that case, awareness should be raised in all areas of the family and society in an organized manner. Clubs or organizations should come forward with important responsibilities.” Chief Minister added.
Highlighting on the event, the Chief Minister remarked that the government, along with pursuing a zero tolerance policy against drug addiction, has taken up various programs including Har Ghar Tiranga 75 Border soldier at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to awaken patriotism among the people. To bring the society to the right direction of health, beauty and development, every person, including clubs and organizations, should come forward along with the government. Such programs help in building a good relationship between every person in the area. Currently, clubs or organizations are coming forward for various social works. This is a good sign for the society. This initiative of the clubs is commendable.
According to source a total of 20 blood donors donated blood in the camp. On the occasion of the 73rd Foundation Day, Shivnagar Modern Club and Amara Tarun Dal organized a drawing competition, swimming competition, chess competition, dance competition, recitation, and music competition along with blood donation.
Vice-President of Shivnagar Modern Club and Amara Tarun Dal Pradip Ghosh delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of Blood Donation Programme today. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble MP and Tripura Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, members of club and many other dignitaries were present in the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks Shaibal Roy President of Shivnagar Modern Club and Amara Tarun Dal.
