TRESP DPMU Gomati & Fisheries Department Launch Thematic Training to Strengthen Project Implementation.

Agartala, Tripura, 11th of August 2025 : With the initiative of the State Fishery Nodal Officer for TRESP and the Deputy Director of Fisheries, Gomati, the first day of a three-day thematic training-cum-workshop on fishery activities and the rollout of responsibilities under the World Bank-supported Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) commenced today. From TRESP PMU ,Sri.Bishorjit Hijam attended the workshop .The programme brought together all Superintendents of Fisheries under the Gomati district, Fishery Officers, and the Superintendent of Fisheries from Rupaichhari Block in the South district.

The workshop saw active participation from the core TRESP team, the District Project Management Unit (DPMU) Gomati, fishery TSA representatives, PIU–TRLM, and departmental staff. Scheduled to continue until 13th August, the initiative aims to explore new opportunities, develop a roadmap for greater stakeholder coordination, and strengthen collaborative efforts between the Fisheries Department and the TRESP district team, ensuring more effective project implementation across the district.
