Allegations Surface Over Poor Quality Road Construction In Sabroom Hospital.

Sabroom, Tripura, 12th of August, 2025 : A tender for a work was invited from the Sabroom Construction Department in the fiscal year 2022-23 at Sabroom Hospital. Accordingly, M.S.G Construction was awarded the works more than 1 crore are two roads to enter the boundary of Sabroom Hospital.

According to sources, the Government tender decision there are two roads to enter the boundary of Sabroom Hospital, one from Sabroom Bazar through the Sabroom Hospital morgue to the hospital quarters and the other road from the opposite side of Sabroom Hospital to the hospital quarters. The old broken road was supposed to be removed from the pieces and metal and the road was supposed to be re-metalled and Granular Sub Base (GSB).

But it turns out that the construction authority, managed the two people, administration officer of the Sabroom Public Works Department and another engineer from the Public Works Department and completed the work by coating the road with sand and bitumen on the old road. According to sources, some bills have been paid and the remaining bill was supposed to be taken away. And for paying the remaining bill, the workers had paid a huge amount of money to officials. But since the bill was not completed yet with the huge amount of money, the workers of Sabroom, along with his associates, went to the office of the Public Works Department of Sabroom few days ago and created trouble in the office and threatened to take the officers. And such an incident during office hours, the other employees working in the Public Works Department and the other contractors standing outside were shocked.

People are raising strong allegation over the construction authority. People have highly condemned the construction authority for their worst quality of construction and demanded immediate intervention from higher authorities to renovate the road.
