Ampi, Tripura, 15th of August 2025 : Under the able supervision of Ampi BDO Ruatfela Darlong 79th Independence Day observation has been organized in Ampi block premises with great enthusiasm and due dignity. On this grand occasion a large number of local people, officers and school students have assembled here in the programme venue. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the event. Miscellaneous patriotic programme segments have made the event fascinating. Beautiful nationalistic programme performances have made the celebration attractive. The concerned programme organizer has distributed sweets and fruits amidst hospital patients and wished them quick recovery.
Addressing the participants MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has said, “Independence Day marks the end of the British Raj in 1947, brought about by the Indian independence act of July 18 that year. Today is the day to remember and pay tribute to the countless individuals who sacrificed their lives and endured hardship in the fight for independence. For their precious dedication we are independent today” On this auspicious occasion Ampi block has provided awards to school students who obtained better achievement in board examinations; distributed sports items to sports teams. The block authority has given certificate and award to disabled persons too.
Among the other distinguished dignitaries there were Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Sadagar Kalai, Ampi MDC, Shakti Sadhan Jamatia, Ampi OC and many others remained present in the programme.
