Agartala, Tripura, 16th of August 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Saturday (16th August, 2025) about 1850 hrs. According to the sources, along with the RPF, arrested drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 8.315 Kg dry cannabis worth ₹ 1.2 lakh. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to GRP, Two person namely Ajgar Ali (42), S/O- Basat Ali of Sonamura, Kulubari, PS- Kulubari Sepahijala, Tripura has been arrested from Agartala Railway station with 8.315Kg contraband cannabis (Ganja). The value of this Ganja in black market is about Rs-1.2 Lakh. A specific case under NDPS Act is being registered at Agartala GRPS.
