Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha Launches ‘Vikshit Tripura-2047’ Vision Documents.

Agartala, Tripura, 22nd of August, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura organized launching ceremony of ‘Vikshit Tripura-2047’ vision documents at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (22nd August, 2025). In the presence of council Minister of Government of Tripura and many distinguished dignitaries, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched Vikshit Tripura-2047 vision documents today.

Addressing at the launching ceremony of Vikshit Tripura-2047 vision documents, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that India will complete 100 years of independence in 2047. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Developed India-2047 program to transform the country into a developing nation during this period. The main goal of this program is to ensure economic development, empowerment and sustainable living standards of the people of the country. In this direction, the current Government is striving for the development of the State. In this regard, political figures, common people and officials at the administrative level will have to work together. Tripura is the first state in the North-East to have prepared a document under the Developed India-2047 initiative. The State Government’s goal in moving forward on the path of development is to build a developed and better Tripura. Where there will be a prosperous, safe, healthy future for the common citizens and which will be in harmony with nature and environment.

The Chief Minister stated that Tripura State occupies an important place in the Act East Policy of India. The main objective of this policy is to develop economic cooperation, cultural exchange and strategic partnership with the countries of the Asia Pacific region. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State Government is also working tirelessly for the development of farmers, women, youth and the poor. The Chief Minister said that the main source of developing a developed India or a developed Tripura is self-reliance. In this regard, maximum use of local materials, innovative thinking, integration of civic life and self-empowerment should be given maximum emphasis.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that the State is achieving remarkable success in farmer empowerment, healthcare advancement, digital governance and industrial development. By utilizing Tripura’s natural resources like bamboo, rubber and forest resources, sustainable industries have developed and livelihoods of thousands of people have been ensured. The quality of life of the people has improved significantly due to the initiatives of rural electrification, solar energy and providing clean drinking water. About 426 lakh beneficiaries have received Ayushman Card through the launch of the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojna. Already, more than 8,000 patients have received free treatment. The e-office platform has been successfully implemented up to the Panchayat/Village Committee. Tripura has ranked first in the country in launching the e-office platform. This has ushered in a new era in administrative efficiency, transparency and accountability at the grassroots level. Special attention has been paid to the industrial development of the state through various policies like Tripura IT, Start-up Scheme, 2019, Tripura Data Centre Policy, 2021, Tripura Agar Wood Policy, 2021. As a result, significant private investment has come to the state, which has further accelerated the pace of development of the state.

Addressing at the event Hon’ble Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that the ‘Developed Tripura-2047’ documents will ensure a strategic change in the quality of life of the citizens of the state. Its main goal is to create a poverty-free state, ensure high-quality health services, higher education facilities and basic civic services.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Hon’ble Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Program Director of NITI Aayog Rajib Kumar Sen, Secretary of the Planning Department L T. Darlong, Director General of Police Anurag Dhankar,  other State Cabinet members, senior officers and many others remained present in the programme.
