Nagpur, 29th of August, 2025 : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has entered into a strategic partnership with the Raisoni Education Group, a prominent educational conglomerate in central India, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This collaboration aims to inspire and recognise academic excellence among IIM Nagpur students through two prestigious honours:the G.H. Raisoni Merit Award of ₹5 lakh and the G.H. Raisoni Gold Medal, which will be conferred annually.
The MoU was signed by Prof. BhimarayaMetri, Director of IIM Nagpur, and Mr. Sunil Raisoni, Chairman,Raisoni Education Group, in the presence of senior officials from both institutions.
Prof. BhimarayaMetri said, “This partnership is a significant step toward motivating students and fostering a culture of merit-based recognition. The MoU aligns seamlessly with IIM Nagpur’s vision of being a future-oriented management institution. Collaborations with reputed regional institutions like Raisoni Education are necessary to achieve the goals of the National Education Policy.”
Mr. Sunil Raisoni said, “We are truly delighted to partner with IIM Nagpur, a dynamic and premier management institution that exemplifies excellence. This association reflects our shared commitment to advancing quality education and supporting outstanding talent.”

The ceremony was attended by senior functionary members of IIM Nagpur, including Prof. Prashant Gupta (Dean – Academics), Prof. Alok Kumar Singh (Dean – Executive Education), Prof. Sujeet Sharma (Dean – Research & Ph.D.), Lt. Col. M.V. Alur (CAO), and Mr. Dnyaneshwar Gudadhe (Lead Officer). From the Raisoni Education Group, senior dignitaries are present which includesDr. Amina Vali, Dr. Meena Rajesh, Dr. A. Paturkar, Dr. Vivek Kapur, Dr. Sachin Untawale, Dr. Aarti Deshpande, and Dr.Mragna Gupta.
