Agartala, Tripura, 30th of August, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Saturday (30th August, 2025) at night. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested three drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 29.140 Kg dry cannabis worth ₹ 4 lakh. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF Of Agartala, at about 9.30 PM three person namely Neeraj Kumar (26), S/O- Sri Manoj Jaishwal, Fatejahanpur, Sabalpur, Patna, Bihar, Jyoti Kumari (25), D/O- Ram Bachan Jaswal, Rasulpur Ojhania, Rasulpur, Rasulpur, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh and Hashna Begum (26), D/O- Md Aha Ali Of Koiri Gaon, Naojan, Sarupathar, Golaghat, Assam have been arrested from Agartala Railway station with total 29.140 Kg contraband cannabis (Ganja). The value of this Ganja in black market is about Rs 4 Lakh. They are carrying that Ganja to Bihar. A specific case under NDPS Act is being registered against them at Agartala GRPS.
