Distribution Of Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers Under NEC Scheme In Sabroom.

Sabroom, Tripura, 31st of August, 2025 : With the initiative of Animal Resources Development Department Government of Tripura Distribution of Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers Under NEC Scheme at Veterinary Hospital, Sabroom, Tripura on Saturday (30th August, 2025). According to report, in this programme 17 Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers were handed over to the beneficiaries of East Jalefa Gram Panchayat by South District Sabhadipati Dipak Datta. Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers were collected from Patna. On March 28, 8 Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers were distributed in the first phase. Today, the Non-Pregnant Cross Breed Heifers were distributed to 17 beneficiaries through lottery in the second phase. Officials expressed hope that the distribution of cows will lead to economic development of local farmers, increase milk production and expand livelihoods based on animal husbandry.

Assistant Director of the department Litan Reang delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Social activist Gautam Tripura, Dr. Trideep Debnath, in-charge of Sabroom Veterinary Hospital, officials of the department and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
