Allegations Surface Over Poor Quality Road Construction In Ludhua ADC Village.

Sabroom, Tripura, 31st of August, 2025 : The residents of East and West Ludhua ADC Village areas had long been demanding the paving of an 11-kilometer road from Ludhua to Sabroom. Finally, the State Government promised to fulfill their demand, but the dreams of the locals were shattered within a short time.

The government has given the responsibility of pouring pitch on this road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) under the Baikhora, N.H. (PWD) sub-division. But there are allegations that due to the negligence of the contracting company and the department, the work has been done in a very poor quality. Locals claim that the contracting company has wasted crores of rupees of the public by harassing the junior engineer Thai Mog, who was in charge of the work.As a result, within a few months, the road surface has become slippery and has become extremely dangerous for traffic. Locals have said angrily that despite numerous complaints during the construction of the road, no results have been obtained. There are allegations that the guard wall was not built as promised during the construction work.

A local resident expressed his anger and said, “We have been demanding a good road for a long time. Although the government has started work on that demand, it is now difficult to travel on the road due to the poor quality of work. Despite spending crores of money, the public is being cheated today.”The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who have demanded a strict investigation and disciplinary action against the contractor and the relevant department responsible for the substandard work.
