GRP & RPF Of Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested 1 Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 24th of August 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Saturday (6th September, 2025) night. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 4.180 Kg dry cannabis. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 9 PM we managed to caught one woman namely Smt. Kajal Kumari (31), D/O- Sri Sanjay Mahto, W/O- Sri Lal Bahadur Mahto of East Lohani Pur (Khadda), PS- Kadamkuan, Dist-Patna, State- Bihar and her minor daughter namely Sanu Kumari (04) and recovered one hand bag which containing with total 04.180 Kg Ganja.  Accordingly  we have detained her from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the Ganja. The value of this Ganja in black market is about worth ₹ 70000. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP089, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against her.
