Agartala, Tripura, 7th of September, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Sunday (7th September, 2025) night. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested two women (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 08.840 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 7 PM to caught two women namely Sushma Kumari (Kusum) (26), W/O- Sri Kishan Raj Of Barwanpur, Manpur, Nalanda in Bihar and Soma Kumari (20), W/O- Neeraj Kumar Of Barwanpur, Manpur, Nalanda, in Bihar along with their breast feeding babies. During their search recovered one hand bag and one pitthu bag from their possession which was containing total 08.840 Kg Ganja. The value of this Ganja in black market is about Rs. 1.7 Lakh. GRP & RPF detained them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP090, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
