Mumbai, Maharashtra, 9th of September, 2025 : This is to inform you that further to the Retailers Association of India’s (RAI) submission regarding the change in GST rates effective 22nd September 2025, the legal metrology department has issued a notification to declare revised MRPs on unsold stock.

The Retailers Association of India (RAI), representing 14,000 member establishments and nearly 700,000 retail stores, had written to the Department of Legal Metrology regarding the recent implementation of GST 2.0. With effect from 22 September 2025, revised GST rates require adjustments to the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of numerous pre-packaged goods already in stock.
