GRP & RPF Of Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested Three Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 19th of September, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Friday (19th September, 2025) evening. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested Three (3) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and  seized a total of 21.550 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja).They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 5 PM to caught three person namely 1) Md. Rasel (19) S/O-Sahid Miah Of  Mog Bari, PO-Moti Nagar, PS-Sonamura, Sepahijala, Tripura, 2) Kamal Haque (19), S/O-Abduk Kadir of KuloBari Uttarpara, Ward No-05 PS-Sonamura, Sepahijala, Tripura and 3) Sanjoy Debbarma (19), S/O- Biswa Rai Debbarma of Mog Bari, PO-Moti Nagar, PS-Sonamura, Sepahijala, Tripura.  During their search recovered two pitthu & hand bags from their possession which containing total 21.550 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 4 Lakh approx in black market. Accordingly arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP094, U/S-20(b)(ii)(C)/29 NDPS Act 1985 has registered against them.
