Agartala, Tripura, 13th of October, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (13th October, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested Two (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 3.680 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja).They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 7 PM we managed to catch two persons namely i)  Gagan Kumar (20) S/O- Lt. Sanjoy Roy  of Dedour,  PS- Baktierpur  Dist.- Patna, State- Bihar and ii) Gourav Yadav (26), S/O- Sri Om Prakash Yadav Of Barikothia, PS- Sangsarpur, Dist- Khagaria, State- Bihar. During their search recovered two pitthu bags from their possession which containing total 3.680 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 60 thousand approx in black market. GRP & RPF arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP101, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
