Railway Police Seizes Cannabis, Arrested 1 Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 14th of October, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Tuesday (14th October, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested One (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 3.680 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). She wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 2 PM managed to catch one woman namely Naya Lakshi Debbarma (62), W/O- Sri Bishwaray Debbarma Of Panbua, Ward no-5, PS- Salema Dhalai District, Tripura. During her search we recovered one hand bag from her possession which containing total 3.680 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 60 thousand approx in black market. GRP & RPF of Agartala arrested her from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP102, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against her.
