Agartala, Tripura, 29th of October 2025 : On a three-day visit to Tripura, Shri Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Special Director General (Eastern Command), BSF Kolkata, accompanied by Shri Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, IG, BSF Tripura Frontier, visited various Border Out Posts in the districts of Khowai, Dhalai, and Unakoti on 28th and 29th October to review the security situation and assess operational preparedness along the Indo–Bangladesh border.

During the visit, the SDG held a Prahari Sammelan, where he interacted with BSF officers and troops deployed in forward areas and listened to the administrative and operational issues being faced by them. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of alertness in view of the prevailing security situation and appreciated the professionalism displayed by BSF personnel in challenging conditions.

The SDG also stayed overnight at one of the remote Border Out Posts under Tripura Frontier. A Prahari Bhoj was organized on this occasion, during which the SDG shared a meal with the troops, boosting their morale and acknowledging their commitment and hard work in guarding the borders.
The SDG concluded his visit and departed for Kolkata on the evening of 29th October 2025.
