Agartala, Tripura, 19th of November 2025 : Faculties, staff and students of College of Fisheries, CAU (Imphal), Lembucherra, Tripura attended the valedictory programme of the CAU-Regional Agri Fair 2025-26, held on November 19, 2025 at the College of Agriculture, Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya. The event marked the successful culmination of a three-day fair aimed at fostering agricultural innovation, knowledge exchange and grassroots engagement.

The valedictory session was graced by Shri Dinesh Kulkarni, Organizing Secretary, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Celestine Lyngdoh, Hon’ble MLA, Umsning, Meghalaya and Prof. Nalini Tripathy, Director, IIM Shillong, attended the programme as Guests of Honour.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal. In his address, Dr. Mishra highlighted the CAU-Regional Agri Fair as a vibrant and dynamic platform that brings together farmers, students, researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers with the shared objective of learning, innovating and inspiring collective advancement in the agricultural sector.

The three-day fair featured a wide range of activities, including kisan gosthi, farmer–scientist interactions, business meetings with FPOs/FPCs, live demonstrations of flagship programmes and presentations of innovative business ideas by students of CAU, Imphal. Motivational talks by nationally acclaimed professionals also formed an important part of the programme.
The CAU-Regional Agri Fair 2025–26 has served as a vital bridge connecting education, research and frontline extension with grassroots agricultural outreach, thereby reinforcing CAU’s commitment to holistic agricultural development in the region.
