Agartala, Tripura, 8th of December, 2025 : Agartala Press Club has strongly condemned the attack on Sumit Kumar Singh, a Photographer of Agartala TV and a member of the Tripura Photo Journalists’ Association.
According to report, On 7th December, at around 11 p.m. on Sunday night, four miscreants attack on Sumit Kumar Singh — an associate member of Agartala Press Club and a Photographer of Agartala TV — while he was returning home after finishing office work. The incident took place at Colonel Chowmuhani, Agartala. The miscreants threatened to kill him, and snatched his gold chain and wallet. Although he somehow managed to save his life, he received primary treatment at IGM Hospital with the help of his colleagues.
However, the West Police Station arrested all four miscreants the same night. Agartala Press Club strongly condemns this incident and demands strict legal action against the miscreants.
