Agartala, Tripura, 8th of December, 2025 : A five-day practical training program under the World Bank-supported Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) successfully concluded today at Chawmanu R.D. Block, underscoring the project’s strong focus on hands-on capacity building for rural beneficiaries. Conducted from December 4th to 8th, 2025, the initiative aimed at strengthening the skills of Producer Group members involved in goatery and piggery—two sectors showing steady progress under TRESP interventions.
The sessions were expertly facilitated by Veterinary Officer Dr. Martin Debbarma and Pashu Sakhi Smt. Soma Roy, with valuable technical guidance and dedicated oversight from Specialist (Livestock) Dr. Joydev Majumder. A total of 40 members from Surja PG (Goatery) and Rajani PG (Piggery) received in-depth field-oriented training on improved livestock management, covering animal nutrition, health care, breeding practices, and scientific shed maintenance.
The program highlights TRESP’s commitment to empowering producers at the grassroots level and its continued impact in accelerating productivity, enhancing rural incomes, and fostering sustainable growth in Chawmanu’s livestock sector.
