GDC Organized Students Motivational Educational Tour.

Ampi, Tripura, 10th of December 2025 : The Department of Education of Government Degree College, Khumulwng, successfully conducted an educational tour on 10th December 2025. A total of 56 enthusiastic 5th Semester students participated in this enriching experience, visiting prominent educational and cultural landmarks in Agartala. The tour included visits to the Science City at Siddhi Ashram, and the Ujjayanta Palace State Museum, exposing students to diverse fields of scientific exploration, heritage, and Tripura’s rich historical legacy. These selected destinations aimed to broaden students’ knowledge beyond the classroom environment.

Sri Daniel Debbarma, Assistant Professor and Head of Department In-Charge, initiated this educational tour program as part of the college’s annual schedule, which integrates similar tours across various other departments of the college. He emphasized that such excursions are vital for experiential learning and fostering awareness among students. Sri Debbarma gratefully acknowledged the support of Dr. Bhupendra Debbarma, the principal of Govt Degree College, Khumulwng, for providing this opportunity to the students. Accompanying the students and coordinating the tour were faculty members Sri Daniel Debbarma, Smt. Mandira Deb, Smt. Sangita Debnath, and Smt. Sangita Banik, whose guidance ensured a smooth and organized experience throughout the tour.

This educational journey not only kindled curiosity and learning among the students but also aimed to cultivate a deeper appreciation of Tripura’s scientific advancements, cultural roots, and historical grandeur, thus enriching their academic and personal lives. Educators hope such initiatives continue to inspire students towards holistic development and lifelong knowledge seeking.
