Agartala, Tripura, 15th of January, 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Thursday (15th January, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested four (4) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total of 46.590 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja).
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 12 PM 04 apprehend women namely (1) Smt Jesmin Debbarma (26), D/O Lt Prasanta Debbarma Of Kalai Para, Bairagidukan (Karbook), P.O- Karbook, Ps- Nutan Bazar, Gomati Tripura (2) Smt- Abi Debbarma (21), D/O Sri Bishu Debbarma Of- Brajabashi Para, Po- Champak Nagar, Ps- Jirania, West Tripura, (3) Smt- Rani Debbarma (39), D/O-Lt. Bamon Chandra Debbarma Of Kasangkha Para, Po+ Ps- Mandhai, West Tripura and (4) Smt Eva Debbarma (19) , D/O – Libha jamatia Of- Kasangkha Para, Po + Ps- Mandhai, West Tripura At Agartala Railway Station on platform no-01 near “Agartala” sign board towards Udaipur side in-front of Agartala RPF Post along with total 46.590 Kg purported to be contraband narcotic Ganja in their trolley & hand bags.
The value of this Ganja is Rs- 15 Lakh approx in black market. Accordingly GRP & RPF of Agartala have detained them and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2026GRP006, U/S-21 (C)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
