Block Level Anti-Drug Awareness Program Organized.

Amarpur, Tripura, 16th of January 2026 : With the initiative of Ampi nagar RD block and Ampi nagar PS a block level anti-drug awareness program has been conducted here in Ampi nagar community hall in Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion a large number of villagers, club authorities, panchayat authorities, school teachers & students have assembled here in the event. Aiming to protect the youths and students from the deadly tendency of drugs abused the concerned authorities have highlighted over the dangerous outcome of the drug addiction.

Addressing the youths and students Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia has said, “Drug addition is a great curse for our society which is destroying our youngsters; creating distress and unsteadiness in the family. We have to protect our society from this critical youths destructive tendency.” To divert youths and students from drug to sports Ampi BDO Ruatfela Darlong has delivered his valuable speech over the circulation of anti-drug awareness program. He has motivated students and youths over the immense significance of games and sports in keeping sound body and mind. To generate inspiration over sports the concerned block authority has distributed sports items to many schools and clubs situated in Ampi nagar block. The block authority has managed 75 sets of different sports items for clubs, schools, police stations and TSR camps.

Amidst the other distinguished participants there were Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Shipsonlian Kaipeng, MDC, Dr. Milan Bhakta Jamatia, Ampi CHC in-charge, Shakti Sadhan Jamatia, Ampi OC, Durga Hari Jamatia, I.S, Ampi and many others remained present in the event.
