Mumbai, Maharashtra, 19th of January, 2026 : Two of Hindi cinema’s most respected creative forces are coming together for a major theatrical event. Junglee Pictures has officially announced its collaboration with National Award-winning writer-director Raj Kumar Gupta for an ambitious untitled tentpole theatrical project, promising bold storytelling on a grand cinematic canvas.
Known for seamlessly blending realism with commercial appeal, Raj Kumar Gupta has delivered impactful films such as Aamir, No One Killed Jessica and the successful Raid franchise. His recent release Raid 2 ranking among the top ten highest-grossing films of 2025 further reinforces his strong connect with audiences. Junglee Pictures, on the other hand, has built a formidable content-driven legacy with films like Raazi, Badhaai Ho, Talvar, Badhaai Do and Bareilly Ki Barfi, consistently combining social relevance with mainstream entertainment.
The script for the untitled film is complete and casting will begin soon. According to sources, the project will present Gupta’s signature hard-hitting narrative on a large-scale theatrical platform, aimed at drawing audiences back to cinemas.
Times Group MD Vineet Jain described the film as a true tentpole project for Junglee Pictures, while Raj Kumar Gupta called the collaboration a natural extension of his love for rooted, immersive storytelling.
