Mumbai, Maharashtra, 22nd of January, 2026 : South Asia’s leading express air and integrated logistics company, Blue Dart, has achieved a significant milestone in its journey toward building an inclusive workplace. The company has recruited over 200 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) across its core operations and support functions. These employees are now contributing full-time in key areas such as sorting centers, customer experience, warehousing, and last-mile support, firmly placing inclusion at the heart of business operations.

Speaking on the initiative, Blue Dart’s Managing Director, Balfour Manuel, said, “For us, inclusion is not a standalone initiative but a core principle of how we work. When persons with disabilities join us in mainstream roles, they strengthen our business with their unique perspectives and capabilities.”

This initiative has been implemented in collaboration with trusted partners such as Sarthak Educational Trust, focusing on skill development, workplace adaptation, and continuous on-the-job support. Blue Dart has also introduced sensitisation workshops, sign language training, and necessary infrastructure enhancements to ensure an enabling work environment.

Reinforcing the company’s commitment, CHRO Beena Jacob shared, “Every hire represents progress. Our focus is on moving beyond empathy to merit, and from accommodation to true empowerment.”

Dr. Jitendra Agrawal, Founder of Sarthak Educational Trust, added, “Blue Dart sets a powerful example of what real inclusion looks like—equal opportunity, equal respect, and equal expectations.”

Blue Dart plans to further strengthen and expand this inclusive initiative in the coming years.
