56th Annual General Conference Of State Engineers Association Of Tripura.

Agartala, Tripura, 24th of January, 2026 : With the initiative of State Engineers Association of Tripura organized 56th Annual General Conference at Nazrul Kalakshetra, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (24th January, 2026). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the 56th Annual General Conference of State Engineers Association Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Engineers are one of the key driving forces behind a State’s progress and development. They are the principal architects of infrastructure creation. Their role in laying the foundation of progress is immense. The development of infrastructure necessary for the expansion of education, healthcare, communication, agriculture, industry, and trade in society is led by engineers.

“Engineers must continuously keep themselves prepared in line with changing times. It is extremely important to always stay updated by enhancing one’s skills. Only then can meaningful outcomes be achieved and projects successfully translated into reality. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also consistently stressed the importance of innovation. Keeping this objective in mind, both the Central and State Governments are taking various initiatives to promote development in the fields of engineering and technology.”, Chief Minister said.

Addressing the participants, Chief Minister said that participation of women in the engineering profession has increased significantly in recent times, which is certainly a matter of pride and appreciation. This stands as a positive example of women’s active involvement in the mainstream of the state’s development. He also added that the State Government has made the highest budgetary allocation for infrastructural development.

“Tripura’s development scenario is changing rapidly at present. Progress can be seen in the State’s infrastructure, communication system, healthcare services, law and order, industry, and economic sectors. Behind all these developments lie the significant contributions of the state’s engineers, along with the development-oriented vision and sincere efforts of the State Government.”, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that wherever one may be posted, everyone must discharge their responsibilities with sincerity. One should evaluate one’s own work and earn a place in people’s hearts through the quality of that work. The Chief Minister wished overall success to the Association’s 56th Annual Conference.

A documentary highlighting the State’s developmental activities was also screened during the programme. On the occasion, the Chief Minister, along with the distinguished guests present, unveiled the Association’s souvenir titled ‘Nirman‘.

The Association presented a cheque of ₹2 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Financial assistance of ₹20,000 each was also provided to six persons, with the Chief Minister personally handing over the cheques to them.

Satyabrata Das, General Secretary of the Tripura State Engineers’ Association delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of 56th annual general conference of State engineers association of Tripura.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Secretary of PWD Kiran Gitte, Association’s President, Surya Kumar Debbarma, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
