Khowai, Tripura,19th of March 2025 : A nine-month pregnant woman was beaten up by some miscreants in her home. The incident took place in the Vidyamahan Thakurpara area under Khowai District at last night (18th March, 2025). According to the details of the incident, at around 10:11 pm last night, Biswajit Tanti and his brother Ganesh Tanti attacked the house of Bhagya Mantra Tanti in the area with a machete and an axe. Before they could instinct anything, Bhagya Mantra severely assaulted the weaver and his wife Sumitra Karmakar. And vandalized the house. The informed to the Khowai police station that night. The police personnel arrived on the spot and Sumitra Karmakar brought to brought to Khowai District Hospital. And he appealed to the administration to give a fair trial to the two brothers involved in this incident and give the culprits appropriate punishment. The pregnant woman is currently admitted to the Khowai District Hospital.
