Agartala, Tripura, 3rd of March, 2025 : On specific input of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) based on secret operation was launched in the Jogendranagar Railway Station (JGNR), Agartala on Sunday (2nd March, 2025) night.

According to the GRP police, along with the RPF, arrested 2 female drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 21.065 kg of dried cannabis, worth 3 lakh. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station. A case under the NDPS section has been registered against them at Agartala GRP police station. It is estimated that many more people may be arrested in this case. They will be sent to the High Court tomorrow. According to GRP the names of the arrested person 2 female drug peddlers Sunita Debi (48), Patna, Bihar and Rita Debi (35) – Vaishali, Bihar. Officer In-Charge of Agartala GRP Tapas Das gave details about this today.
